Objectives The main objective of this lab course is allowing the student to develop their practical skills in both digital and analog electronics, from the theoretical knowledge acquired in previous courses.

From them and with the help and supervision of the lab teaching staff, the student will design, build and measure real circuits conforming to given specifications.

In addition to that, the work will focus on developing basic high level design skills of complex systems, as a fundamental requirement in the evolution of an engineer.

Syllabus Due to the different topics the lab deals with, the student should work on a project combining digital and analog circuits.

The project is oriented to build a system with a certain degree of reality, but complete from the functional point of view, trying to give the student a modular view to help him/her in the design process. This approach mainly based on design aspects will be completed with some exercises on circuit analysis and the comparison of the physical circuit behaviour with the theoretical calculations.

The lab assigment implies the analysis of the specification, the design and/or analysis of the circuits corresponding to each module or subsystem, and the building and measurement on the real working prototype, in order to finally assess its correct behaviour according to specifications.

Optionally, the student has access to computer tools for electronic analysis and design, both analog and digital, so that he/she can simulate and optimize the correct circuit behaviour during the design and test phases.
